NOEMI stands for NO EMISSIONS, and clearly reflects our mission and technology. It is simple, globally relevant and easy to communicate across markets.

Our former name, Elfly - meaning electric aircraft in Norwegian - reflects our origins, but proved less intuitive internationally. As we scale globally, clarity and consistency matter.

Aligning company and product under one name creates a single, focused brand, simplifies communication and ensures every dollar invested in our venture builds long-term brand equity.

THE PROBLEM WE FIX

The seaplane concept is exceptionally well suited to regional aviation, but the industry and its technology have not kept pace.

Much of today’s fleet is built on outstanding designs from another era. Beautiful and safe aircraft. Today, however, fleets are typically 30–70 years old, making them noisy, inefficient and costly to operate, as well as increasingly misaligned with current and future requirements.

Operators face rising maintenance costs, stricter regulation and growing pressure to reduce emissions and noise. The result is a proven market constrained by outdated aircraft.

This is exactly the gap NOEMI is designed to close.

A MARKET IN NEED OF CHANGE

Despite the limitations of today’s fleets, seaplanes operate profitably in markets such as the US, Canada and the Maldives. Globally, however, their potential remains largely untapped. 

But, outdated aircraft limit scale, market expansion, economics and acceptance.

NOEMI is designed to outperform the current fleet in today’s market, while unlocking thousands of new, viable routes worldwide.

ELECTRIC MAKES SENSE

Seaplane routes are short. They operate at altitudes and speeds where electric propulsion is most efficient.

The median seaplane route in the US is just 75 km, well within the range where electric aviation delivers its strongest benefits.

Our proprietary Mission Insight Model - MIM is grounded in real demand drivers, real cost structures and real operational constraints, but is not limited to today’s routes.

It allows operators to simulate both existing and entirely new routes, combining conventional airport infrastructure with water operations on fjords, rivers, lakes and coastal hubs.

MIM simulates cost per seat, energy consumption, time savings, infrastructure requirements and emissions reduction across realistic operating scenarios, including those unlocked by NOEMI’s amphibious, electric design.

DEMAND IS REAL

Demand for NOEMI is already strong. By January 1st, 2026, we have secured 70+ soft orders across five continents.

Operators are lining up because the demand is real and underserved. NOEMI addresses concrete operational needs while meeting both current and future requirements for cost, infrastructure flexibility and emissions.

This includes operators such as Pan Am / UrbanLink, Nordic Seaplanes, VET Airways and Hellenic Seaplanes, operators who recognize NOEMI as a credible aircraft designed to unlock new regional connectivity.

THE ROAD TO TAKEOFF

We’re not dreaming. We’re delivering. NOEMI has been validated through extensive testing, including water tanks, wind tunnels, sub-scale flight tests and simulations.

Results are exceeding expectations. The design is now locked, and a PAC agreement with EASA is in place.

We are building the full-scale prototype, with first flight planned for 2027 and commercial operations targeted for 2030.
